Even though it is called spinach it is not a true spinach because of its heat tolerance. It is far superior in taste texture and its many health benefits.

The leaves are thicker and crunchier than standard spinach. It has a similar taste to celery with a pleasant bitterness.

It’s said to help fight inflammation, reduce blood sugar, lower blood pressure and is filled with antioxidants.

Longevity, spinach, prefers full sun to part shade in well, drained soil that is moist, but not soggy. Grown zones 9 – 11 and can also be container grown. It is easily propagated so you can fill your yard or share it with friends.
